It's true! Former UFC light heavyweight champion Quinton "Rampage" Jackson has apparently retired from the organization.
9/24/2009
On Rampage's Web site Tuesday he said that he's "done fighting" and expressed his displeasure at not getting a title shot against champion Lyoto Machida. He also talked about UFC President Dana White not adjusting his fight date with Rashad to accommodate his movie schedule.
Jackson is shooting the A-Team, playing B.A. Baracas — the role first popularized by Mr. T on the 1980's television show.
Currently a coach the 10th season of the UFC's The Ultimate Fighter reality show, Jackson seemingly has thrown a lot of the company's plans into turmoil.
However, he said he wished ill will to nobody as he moves on to focus on an acting career.
"I still feel the UFC is a great organization and I felt like I was very loyal to them but they didn't respect my loyalty but I wish the UFC the best," he wrote on his Web site. "I did a lot of things for them. I wish no bad blood between us but I have kids & a family back in Memphis to provide for & thats all that matters to me!"
